How does the Pre-Press Validator work?
Audit a PDF for print-readiness before sending to a press. The validator checks page-size consistency (printers usually want every page identical), TrimBox and BleedBox presence (required for any design that bleeds), font embedding and subsetting (non-embedded fonts get substituted by the printer's defaults), and counts image references so you remember to verify image DPI in your source. Caveat: pdf-lib cannot inspect raster image resolution directly — that check stays with you. For full pre-flight (PDF/X conformance, ink-coverage limits, overprint), use a desktop tool like Adobe Acrobat's Output Preview or a print-shop pre-flight service.
