What ScoutMyTool is
ScoutMyTool is a free, ad-supported collection of small online tools. We focus on the everyday things people search for and then have to wade through ten ad- heavy or paywalled sites to actually use: finance calculators (mortgage, loan, retirement, tax), health calculators (BMI, calorie, BMR), PDF tools (merge, split, compress, convert — all in your browser, files never leave your device), document templates (NDAs, contracts, invoices), and unit converters. One site, one consistent layout, every tool free.
Why we exist
Most “free online tool” sites are unusable. The tool sits below the fold under three banner ads, the page tries to upsell you to a $9/month plan after you click anything, and the result page asks for an email before showing the answer.
We built ScoutMyTool because there is room for a less-hostile alternative. The tool works on the first page load. The result appears on the same page. There is no signup, no email gate, no paywall, no “trial” that converts to a charge. There is, honestly, an ad — that is how we keep the lights on — but the tool itself is the headline and stays above the fold.
How we make money
Ad revenue, via Google AdSense. That is the only way we make money. We do not sell personal data (we do not collect any — see our Privacy Policy), we do not run affiliate links inside the tools, and we do not have a paid tier. If ad revenue ever stops being enough to keep the site running we will tell you on the home page rather than quietly putting tools behind a wall.

- Share friendly URLs. Use our cosmetic subdomains like
pdf.scoutmytool.comorcalc.scoutmytool.comfor sharing on social. - Tell us what you wish existed. Email admin@scoutmytool.com with tool ideas. We add new tools every week and prioritise ones that real people ask for.
What is coming
We have around 200 tools live today across calculators, PDF, documents, and converters. The roadmap is wide: more financial calculators (especially around small-business taxes), more health calculators (sport-specific training, sleep cycles), more legal/business templates (employment letters, partnership agreements), and more browser-side PDF utilities (advanced redaction, form filling, OCR). The aim is to be the one place people open when they need a calculator, a converter, a quick PDF fix, or a starter document.
