How does the Compress PDF (Aggressive) work?
When the regular Compress PDF tool isn't small enough, this aggressive variant re-rasters every page as a JPEG and rebuilds the PDF around those images. Typical reductions of 70–90% on image-heavy PDFs (catalogues, scans, magazines), and 30–50% on text-heavy docs. The trade-off is real: the output PDF's text becomes non-selectable and non-searchable (it's a picture, not a text stream). Use this when you need to email a giant PDF and the recipient doesn't need to copy text from it. Conversion runs in your browser.
