Can I convert only some pages?

Yes — type a range like "1-3, 5, 8-10" in the Pages field and only those pages are rendered to JPG. Leave it blank to convert every page. A single selected page downloads as one .jpg; multiple pages download as a zip.

Can I get one image with all pages instead of a zip?

Yes — set Output to "One tall image". Every selected page is stacked top-to-bottom into a single JPG, centred on a canvas as wide as the widest page. It is great for a scrollable preview or sharing without unzipping. Very long documents at high DPI can exceed the browser's maximum image size — if that happens you'll get a clear message; lower the resolution, pick fewer pages, or switch back to separate images.

Can I get PNG instead?

Yes — use the PDF to PNG tool. PNG preserves transparency (JPG flattens transparent areas to white) and is lossless, but file sizes are typically 2-3× larger than JPG.

How are transparent PDF areas handled?

JPG has no alpha channel, so any transparent region in the source PDF is composited onto a white background before encoding. If you need transparency preserved, use PDF to PNG instead.

How do I pick the right resolution?

1× is screen-quality (~72 dpi), 2× is recommended for general use (~144 dpi, looks crisp on Retina displays), 3× is print-grade (~216 dpi). Going higher uses much more memory per page — 4× and above can crash the browser on large PDFs.

What happens with password-protected PDFs?

You'll get a clear error pointing you to the Unlock PDF tool. Unlock the file first (you'll need the password), then convert.
