How does the Image Quality Analysis work?

Inventory every image embedded in a PDF and report its pixel dimensions, color depth, color space, compression filter, and storage byte size. Useful for: print-readiness audits (are my images at least 300dpi at the print size?), file-size investigations (which images are eating my disk space?), and pre-distribution sanity checks (do all the images use the same filter, indicating a clean export?). Note: the tool does NOT compute on-page rendered DPI — that requires content stream parsing to find each image's placement matrix.

🔒 Security & Privacy

Frequently asked

Rule of thumb: pixel width / 300 = max print width in inches. A 1500×1000 image is fine at 5×3.3 inches print, marginal at 6×4. The tool reports the pixel dimensions — pair with your intended print size.
