About this tool
Atal Pension Yojana (APY) is India's only Government-guaranteed pension scheme, launched 2015 for the unorganized sector. Anyone aged 18-40 with a bank account can enroll. You contribute monthly till age 60, then receive fixed monthly pension of ₹1,000 / ₹2,000 / ₹3,000 / ₹4,000 or ₹5,000 for LIFE. On subscriber death, spouse continues receiving pension for life; on spouse death, nominee gets accumulated corpus. Government guarantees minimum pension — any shortfall from investment returns is topped up by GoI. Contributions qualify for Section 80CCD(1B) (₹50K exclusive deduction over 80C).
