About this calculator

Standard drywall sizes: 4×8 ft (32 ft²) is the most common — fits stairwells, easier to handle. 4×12 ft (48 ft²) for large continuous walls — fewer seams. Half-inch thickness is standard for walls; 5/8" for ceilings and fire-rated areas.
