Flatten PDF Transparency
Rasterise each page at print resolution and rebuild the PDF as image-only pages — eliminates transparency, gradients, and live text issues that older RIPs may misinterpret.

How does the Flatten PDF Transparency work?
Rasterise each page of a PDF at the chosen resolution (150 / 200 / 300 DPI) and rebuild the file as image-only pages. This eliminates every potential transparency / gradient / live-text issue at the cost of giving up text searchability and accessibility (the result is essentially a flattened picture of each page). Useful for print workflows targeting older RIPs or proofers that can't handle PDF 1.4+ transparency, or for redacted documents where you want to make sure no underlying object can be extracted. For most modern presses, your designer's native flattener (Acrobat Pro / InDesign Output Preview) will produce a smaller file with selectable text — only use this fallback when the source app isn't available.
