About this calculator
Calculating calories per serving is the simplest nutrition metric and the foundation for all macro / cost / portion math. Sum every ingredient's calorie contribution from your tracker (USDA FoodData Central, Cronometer, MyFitnessPal verified entries) and divide by the realistic serving count. Beware "8 servings" recipes that adults eat in 4 โ the per-serving number is only useful if the serving size is honest.

How many servings is realistic?+
Pasta sauce that "serves 6" usually feeds 4. Snack mixes "serve 12" but disappear in 4 sittings. Be honest with yourself.
Cooking changes calories?+
Slight โ fat absorbed into pan or rendered out can change total 5-10%. For most cooking, ignore.
Daily Value is 2000 kcal โ but I eat 2500?+
