About these tools

Modern LCD and OLED displays occasionally develop dead or stuck pixels — spots that fail to change color regardless of what should be there. The easiest way to spot them is to fill your entire screen with a single solid color and look for any dot that doesn't match. Different colors reveal different failures: pure red isolates red sub-pixels, pure green isolates green, and so on. A stuck-bright pixel shows most clearly on a black background; a completely dead pixel shows on white.

The RGB Test Pattern uses the classic SMPTE broadcast bars (silver, yellow, cyan, green, magenta, red, blue) plus a grayscale gradient — the industry standard for eyeballing color accuracy and contrast without a colorimeter. The Screen Resolution Checker uses the browser's built-in window.screen and devicePixelRatio APIs to show your true physical pixel count vs the CSS-pixel viewport websites actually render at.
