How big can each PNG be?

There's no fixed limit, but very large images (>50 MP) will use noticeable browser memory. The output PDF stays roughly the same size as the sum of inputs.

How does the PNG to PDF work?

Combine PNG images into a single PDF. Drop one image or up to 60 — the order you select them in is the order they appear in the PDF. By default each PNG gets its own page sized to the image, so quality stays pixel-perfect. If you need a uniform page size (Letter or A4), pick one from the dropdown and the images are scaled-to-fit and centered. Transparency in the source PNGs is flattened onto white; that's how PDFs handle alpha.

Frequently asked

PDFs don't support transparency the way PNGs do — the tool flattens transparent areas to white. If you need transparency in your output, embed the PNG as-is in another tool that supports it.
