Why include only the last 4 of SSN?

Defense-in-depth — if the file is later mishandled, exposing only the last 4 reduces risk vs printing the full SSN. The IRS already has your full SSN on the return itself.

What document order should I use?

Convention: Form 1040 first, then schedules in number order (Schedule A, B, C...), then forms (8606, 8889...), then W-2s and 1099s, then receipts/worksheets last.
