About this calculator
In numerology, the life path number is considered the most important number derived from your birth date, said to describe your personality and the broad themes of your life. It is found by adding together all the digits of your full date of birth and then repeatedly reducing the total until a single digit remains — with the exception of the "master numbers" 11, 22, and 33, which are traditionally left unreduced because they are thought to carry heightened significance. For example, June 15, 1990 sums to 1+9+9+0+0+6+1+5 = 31, which reduces to 3+1 = 4. This calculator performs that reduction and pairs your number with its conventional one-line meaning, from the independent "Leader" (1) to the compassionate "Humanitarian" (9). Numerology is a belief system, not a science, and is offered here purely for entertainment and curiosity.
How it works — the formula
Sum all digits of YYYY-MM-DD
Reduce repeatedly to one digit, except keep 11, 22, 33The full date is collapsed by digit-summing to a core single digit (or a preserved master number).
