Home insurance "Coverage A" should equal replacement cost — what it would cost to rebuild from scratch — NOT market value. Market value includes land (which doesn't need replacing); rebuild cost is just the structure. In hot real-estate markets, market value can far exceed replacement; in declining markets the opposite.
