About this calculator
L-shaped rooms split into two rectangles. Measure both legs of the L separately, then sum the areas. Watch the dimensions: the "width" of the smaller leg is the depth from the inside corner.

L-shapes don't have a single L×W. Splitting into two rectangles is the cleanest method.
Where to draw the boundary?+
At the inside corner of the L. Either rectangle can be the larger one — the math is the same.
