How does the Interleave Two PDFs (Alternate Pages) work?

Weave the pages of two PDFs together: A1, B1, A2, B2, A3, B3, … The most common use case is reassembling a duplex (front + back) scan when an old auto-feed scanner could only scan one side at a time, producing two PDFs: one with all the FRONT pages and one with all the BACK pages. Some scanners spit the back pages out reverse-ordered (last back page first); turn on the "Reverse the second file" toggle in that case so the interleave matches the original document order.
