How does the Auto-trim Whitespace (Crop to Content) work?
Set the CropBox on every page to the bounding box of the actual content, plus a small padding. Cleans up scans with wide white margins and exports that retain blank borders. Detection rasterises each page at 100 dpi, walks the pixels, and finds the smallest rectangle that contains every dark pixel. The original page MEDIA size is preserved — only the CropBox (which most viewers honour for display and print) changes. To physically resize the file, run through Resize PDF Pages afterwards.
