Limitations
- "Bar" and "barometric" share a name but bar is a unit while barometric pressure is a measurement context.
- mmHg and torr differ by 0.000015% (torr is 1/760 atm, mmHg is gravity-and-density-defined) โ interchangeable in clinical use.
- Gauge vs absolute pressure differ by 1 atm โ clearly mark which one a converted value represents.
- Pressure changes ~12 hPa per 100 m of altitude near sea level; an altitude-naรฏve conversion can mislead aviation/diving readings.
